dc.description.abstract On the basis of the accuracy of the theory proposed method of calculating the static and dynamic errors in cross-sectional shape of openings in fine boring smooth and stepped holes. We consider particular cross-sectional shape error caused by such factors: the displacement axis of the hole in the workpiece relative to the spindle axis of the oval hole in the workpiece, the unevenness of the radial compliance in the tool spindle to the angle of rotation. The results of calculations and experiments total error depending on the change of the lengths of the steps of the boring bar, the diameter and cutting process parameters. It is found that the feature of change of total errors deviation from circularity of the cross section at multi-cutting boring is the alternation of high and low values in accordance with the alternation amplitude of forced oscillations. en
