Based on the lessons learned of the accident at Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant it is proposed to enhance
the General Safety Requirements for Nuclear Power Plants in Ukraine concerning the classification of emergencies, deterministic vs. probabilistic safety criteria, and requirements to computer modeling tools and guidelines for severe accident management.
