The relation between tolerance and standards of scientific knowledge is the key to solving
the problems of scientific truth and resisting the post-non-classical situation of post-truth. The
principle of tolerance should be involved in science, but the application of this principle should
be correlated with self-respect and respect for others and the ability to reason with one's own
position. Keywords: post-truth, tolerance, scientific knowledge, outside scientific knowledge
Tolerance in today's scientific society is becoming virtue both ethical and epistemic:
because without tolerance we lost the idea that science is a rational and progressive worldview.
Tolerance requires the scientist to be consistently rational - to argue his own hypotheses, to
tolerate criticism - this is what helps science not to become an ideology.
Tolerance helps to assert standards of scientific criticism and its perception: we must
tolerate what people think, and at the same time use the maximum of opportunities for scientific
facts to have dynamics that are not closed, can be refuted
