The prevention of mental violence in the system of information security for citizens in Ukraine is a critical issue in the digital age. As technology continues to evolve, citizens face an increasing range of psychological threats online, including cyberbullying, disinformation, and emotional manipulation. Mental violence, particularly in the form of digital harassment, undermines the mental well-being of individuals and threatens public trust in information systems. This study explores methods and strategies for protecting citizens from such threats within the framework of Ukraine’s information security system. It focuses on the role of government, legal structures, and civil society in addressing digital violence and promoting psychological resilience. The research highlights the importance of digital literacy education to empower citizens with tools to identify and resist online harm. It also examines the impact of harmful online content and its psychological consequences, proposing measures for regulating and moderating such content. Further, it discusses the integration of mental health protection measures into national information security policies. The study underscores the necessity of combining technological solutions with mental health initiatives to create a safer digital environment. Ultimately, it aims to provide a comprehensive approach to mitigating mental violence while ensuring the security and privacy of Ukrainian citizens in the information era.
