Comparative analysis of approaches in coding information using symbols and mythopoetic images

Abstract

It is shown that the coding of information is a universal cultural practice in those areas where texts are created. A comparative analysis of two approaches in the coding of information is conducted: by means of symbols in cryptography and by means of mythopoetic images/personages in folklore. For the second approach, the general coding scheme is proposed to be supplemented with the “decryption/interpretation” step.

Показано, что кодирование информации является универсальной культурной практикой в тех сферах, где создаются тексты. Проведён сравнительный анализ двух подходов в кодировании информации: посредством знаков в криптографии и через мифопоэтические образы / символы в фольклоре. Для второго подхода предложено общую схему кодирования дополнить этапом «расшифровка / интерпретация».
