The relevance of this paper is to consider the phenomenon of the influence of
communicative and linguistic features on human thinking and perception. In this research we
investigate the problem of reducing the importance of text and verbal communication in modern
society. The influence of the spread of blip culture and communication through social networks is
analyzed. Cognitive skills that develop in communication using computers and smartphones
require brevity and accuracy – text ceases to be a value, because on the contrary – the less text
we need to transmit information, or to еxpress our feelings became the better. Laconic as the
main value makes it impossible for a long consistent consideration of complex philosophical
issues-therefore, in the top of the discussion there are small "hype" problems-bright and topical.
We can predictad the return of "elite fashion" to long literary descriptions, which will lead to
segregation between "elite" sources of information and mass ones. Sites-popularizers will also
become fashionable, which allow to reduce the gap between those who can read long texts, and
those who do not have developed cognitive skills to this. As examples we can recall such projects
are "short blip-science" on the website Journal «Space» and «Forshmag».
